About ourselves
We are a happy group of people who simply share the common interest of Scottish Country Dancing.
Our group was founded in May 2000. Our thanks goes to our local church and the Parish of Hammerstein, Wuppertal, where we danced until June 2007. Back in the beginnings they not only kindly supported us by providing us with rooms to practise in but also wrote an article about us in one of the parish circulars. After this, the first signs of curiosity could be observed as people arrived "just to have a look", and today many of those first enthusiasts are now devoted dancers. Today, we are a group of approx. 20 dancers. Since July 2007 we are dancing in new premisses: Kaiserstrasse 55, 42327 Wuppertal; right at the Schwebebahn stop "Bruch".
As with all Scottish dancing groups no age or ability is stipulated. We simply follow the motto:
All who can walk can dance!
Within our group almost all ages and dancing abilities are represented. This offers all participants the chance of profiting from each other - not only when dancing.
Have we awakened your interest or are so simply interested in just having a look?
If so, just call around...
